Built over 400 years ago, Wilton House is an English country house situated near Salisbury. The buildings, home to The Earl and Countess of Pembroke, boast unique 17th century interiors and an extensive art collection. With restoration and maintenance projects taking place by the charity to preserve the fabric of the building, Wilton House approached Astech Environmental Services Limited as asbestos removal contractors to ensure the asbestos was removed safely.

Asbestos removal from the Smoking Rooms

Astech provided asbestos removal services to Wilton House which included the safe removal of asbestos insulation board packers from underneath the floor joists within the smoking rooms. The work entailed removing floor boards, some of the floor joists and the supporting brickwork in time for a new floor to be installed as part of the ongoing restoration work.
